The Trends and Technologies conference aims to provide participants (especially students and academics) with an opportunity to meet innovative approaches, especially in the field of electrical engineering and computer science, presented by experts from the broad field of practice. This goal is fully in line with the mission of the Polytechnic University of Jihlava, namely to focus on applied education and to support cooperation with the application sphere. The choice of topics for the conference is related to the technical disciplines taught at the Polytechnic College, i.e. hardware-oriented Computer Systems, software-oriented Applied Informatics and technically oriented Applied Technology for Industrial Practice. We believe that especially our students will be interested in this way of obtaining interesting and valuable information "first hand". For practitioners, the conference is an opportunity to present an interesting issue from their work to our undergraduate students and thus promote their interest in the field, in technology in general and, last but not least, in their company. One of our students' study obligations is to complete an internship of fourteen weeks. Perhaps it is an interesting paper heard at the Trends and Technology conference that will decide where they will apply for an internship.

The conference will take place over one day and will be divided into several non-overlapping thematic areas or sessions covering mainly the areas of information systems and management, enterprise IT,  software development, industrial automation, sensor and robotics, signal and image processing, electronic device development or CAD/CAE/CAM/PLM. All presentations will be in the form of lectures, there will be no poster session. Participation in the conference is free of charge. The conference languages are Czech, Slovak and English.
