The basic aim of the study is for graduates to achieve a comprehensive readiness to perform professional activities in the broad field of applied engineering by obtaining a practically oriented education. The curriculum of the professionally oriented degree programme is a response to strong demand from industry and is designed to enable the student to enter the workforce immediately upon graduation. Graduates will have the necessary knowledge and skills in machine and plant design, rigid-body and soft-body mechanics, materials science, manufacturing technology, automation and control fundamentals. The general competencies of the student in terms of his/her future employment are supported by the teaching of a foreign language and the inclusion of subjects developing economic and managerial competencies and soft skills in the areas of production economics, quality management, logistics, communication and presentation, project management and teamwork.
The subjects in the curriculum are the same as those in the full-time form of study; the study takes place on Saturdays. To be admitted, applicants must provide a secondary-school leaving certification.
Further information about the programmes offered will be provided by the Head of the Department of Technical Studies, doc. Ing. Radek Kolman, Ph.D.
